The Sherwin Baking Company was opened by the four Sherwin brothers in 1919, and it became a Cleveland staple locals could count on until 1983. According to the Cleveland Jewish News, Sherwin’s Bakery sold Russian tea biscuits and coconut bars at three for a nickel during the Great Depression.
